Inviting your support to Professor Charles K. Kao Scholarship Endowment Fund
Dear Alumni,
On March 14, 2010, close to 3,000 supporters comprising alumni, staff, students and friends of CUHK all came together to raise funds for the Charles K. Kao Scholarship Endowment Fund at the "Walk with Professor Kao" CUHK Walkathon as a tribute to our much loved former Vice-Chancellor, Professor Charles Kao. We are also here to invite you to join fellow alumni and friends to extend your support to the Charles K. Kao Scholarship Endowment Fund aimed towards awarding and promoting innovation among students, particularly undergraduates in Physics and Engineering, in their intellectual pursuits following Prof. Kao's footsteps.
Help promote the value of scientific research and innovation among young scholars advocated by Professor Kao and pass on his spirit. A designated online donation platform supported by our Office of Institutional Advancement is now open www.cuhk.edu.hk/oia/ckkscholarship. We invite you to take a look and see what a difference you can make to future generations of CUHK students.

Spring Gathering 2010/02/28
The Year-of-the-Tiger first Get-Together was successfully done on the Chinese Valentine Day 元宵节 (2010/2/28). We had over 18 alumni, including Prof CM Chang, gathered at the Century Palace 世紀皇宮 for a traditional Chinese dimsum lunch. Everyone shared some jokes and laughs with each other. A newly wedded alumni couple came sharing their joys and changes. We talked and picked up some interesting rules of Chinese Couplet 對聯 from the expert alumni on the spot. .....
The Get-Together was finished by about 3 pm. Just in time for alumni to watch another Canadian excitement: The Ice Hockey Final Game between Canada and United States, and the Closing Celebration party of the Olympic Winter Games. Hooray to the Canada Winter Athlete Team ! Another Record to Canada.
